In the ninth century AD the kingdom of Mansura was founded. The rulers of Mansura are known as Amirs of Sind. They struck a large number of small coins from debased silver, called “Qandhari Dirhams”’ each weighing approx 0.5g.
Very little is known about them apart from their coins. In AD 1030 Sind was conquered by Mahmud of Ghazni.
